The Miracle Purchase of FAITH Children's Home

I am so full of joy in Jesus that I just want to run to the top of a mountain and shout, “Hallelujah”. God is the giver of dreams and He will see that they are fulfilled in your life, if you will just abandon your all to Him. Those dreams that are buried deep in your heart, about doing something for God, have been placed inside you by the Almighty Himself. He has started a good work, and He will complete it. He is the rewarder and finisher of your faith. He will SURPRISE you. He will DELIGHT you. He will AMAZE you. All you have to do is say “yes”; believe that the dream in your heart is from Him, and that He has chosen you to fulfill it. The entire world could know of His great love if only we would allow the child-like dreamer to become alive within us again. God, I pray that You return the forgotten dream to our spirits again.

I would like to share one of the dreams with you that God hid away in my hearts as a little girl, to bring back at this point in my life. I always wanted to be part of an orphanage in some way when I was young because my heart broke for children that had no one to love them. When Bill and I were sixteen, we began sponsoring a child. In our last newsletter, we said that we had just made a decision to rent a house in Lugazi, Uganda for orphans. This house was going to be cared by a local pastor and church in Lugazi. This is the part that makes me want to dance. Oh how I love the heart of God. He sure does love His “lost little ones”. Just a few short days after our last email was released, we received a letter from our new friend, Duncan Hill. He said, “Why should we rent, when we can purchase a home for these kids.” He, along with several others, pooled the finances needed to buy an orphanage.
Again, this was such a beautiful display of the heart of God through His children. God is delighted to see His kids link together to do something that is too big for just one of them. He also is uniting hearts that have a common goal of seeing “God’s babies” protected, nurtured, and taught the principles of God. Faith Children’s Home now owns property and is just awaiting the pitter patter of little feet to make it complete. The house parents will a local pastor, his wife, and some ladies of the church.

The new house is much larger than the rental property which could only house 20 children. The new house will be filled with the laughter of 40 children. This house also has property and a court yard. The rental house will be temporary while the permanent home is being purchased, painted, and prepared. The amazing thing is that there are exactly 40 children that we know of who have been approved and are just waiting.
We will bring them into “Faith Children’s Home” one by one as each one receives an Adoptive Sponsor. This sponsorship is in no way legally binding. Our heart is that you will fall in love with your child because truly you will be considered by them to be their parent. They will fall in love with you. We would desire that you keep up correspondence with them. It would be cool to remember their birthday and Christmas, to send pictures of everyone in your family and include them as being part of the family. Think of what it will mean to a child who has been on the streets trying to survive to have the knowledge that there is someone who loves them and supports them. They will be able to go to sleep in peace knowing that they are safe and will have food to eat in the morning. Each child will receive proper medical care and will have the benefit of attending school and being taught to love the Lord. Every night as they look at your picture hanging above their bed, they will learn to pray and thank Jesus for the miracle of being changed from an orphan to an adopted child (adopted in the sense that they are being sponsored and have a special friend in their life).

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew

Even as this letter is going forth, the information and story on your child is being gathered by a local pastor in Uganda, along with a picture. We will be able to have that information for you soon. Please let us know if you prefer a boy or a girl. If you are unable to make a commitment of a monthly sponsorship, any amount will be very helpful as we still need to purchase more beds and mattresses.

We have made arrangements to be able to bill your credit card monthly or electronically transfer funds from your checking. A monthly sponsorship of $35 will supply one child’s complete medical, educational, and physical needs. You will be blessed as well as changing the life of a child forever.
