The Opening of Hope Medical Clinic

With great excitement, we again have an amazing report of Our Great God and His Miraculous Works in Jinja, Uganda. One year ago, Bill and I were in the city of Jinja in Uganda. At that time, we encountered a godly businessman by the name of Jackson Eyotia. He accompanied us on several outreaches into remote villages and surrounding cities. His love for the Lord and the people of Uganda was so apparent to us. We grew to love this man rather quickly. Jackson voluntarily offered to escort us to our various appointments, yielding his plans to ours, for an entire week. At the end of the week, we wanted to honor him. Bill asked him what was on his heart. He shared his dream to open up a Christian clinic in the city of Jinja. All the open clinics were operated by Muslims. His heart was to have a clinic that would service the people and at the same time give honor to the Lord. We gave him the amount of money that we could and prayed with him.

Several weeks ago, we received an email from him that blessed us so very much. He writes, “The Lord is now moving on the fulfillment of the dreams we have been praying for. May He give us the ability to stand with one another in prayer to see the successful fulfillment of God’s plan for us. At last the clinic has opened. We have the bare minimum of equipment required to properly treat patients. We do not even have the instrument for testing blood pressure, not even a microscope. The people are still coming for treatment. The Lord is on the throne. We are very grateful for the way the Lord is using you.”

I am a nurse, and we were able to send over a blood pressure cuff, a stethoscope, some medical scissors, and Kelly clamps. Bill sent an email today asking if anyone knows where a medical microscope can be obtained. God put on the heart of another friend of ours from Montana to purchase cases of “medic” supplies. He has driven them to Kansas City. We are awaiting another miracle to be able to transport them to Uganda. Debby is designating how the cases will be distributed, as there are so many needs for them.

We stand in amazement because what we consider to be so little, God blesses and causes it to become so BIG. We desire for Hope Medical Clinic to be filled with continuous worship music and the anointing of God. At this clinic, one can get medical care and a touch from the Great Physician through prayer. The following are pictures taken of the clinic by Jackson. Please pray for God’s hand of protection on this clinic and any opposition to it will be stopped. Your prayers and support are the reason that God is so richly providing and blessing the work in Uganda. We are so honored to be part of the team with you in seeing God move in powerful ways in this nation.
