Prepare the Way Ministry-Week 6

This week was also spent with a focus on Seya. There are pastors from Lugazi who have had a touch from God at the pastor’s conference in Lugazi that traveled each day to Seya with a strong desire for more of God. It is beautiful to see people so hungry for God that they cancel all other plans to go after His presence. The intensity in us has increased, and we believe that God is connecting us with only those that are serious about laying their lives down for Jesus. We just feel like there is a holy fire burning within us and all that is common or casual is being burned away.
Pastors took what they received from the Lord at the conference last week and preached it in their churches on Sunday. In Africa many churches sing songs about the devil and beating him up. They honor God with their lips but their hearts are far from Him. There is very little true worship in most of the churches. These same pastors testified that as they began to lead in genuine worship to the Lord that the presence of God came in strong. The people in their churches felt His glorious presence and responded to God with tears.
We even heard church member comment how their hearts were challenged. We thank God that pastors are holding the treasure and taking it to others.
Pastors are partnering with us to see God’s kingdom advanced. They are interceding and bringing their strength to the services. One pastor from Lugazi said he has stopped seeking God’s hand but is now passionately seeking His face. He spoke in his church on fighting the battles of the heart and discovered that He was carrying a new anointing. If you seek God’s hand you will receive either blessings or judgment, but if you seek God heart you will receive His love, mercy, and goodness. It is really beautiful how God is joining hearts and integrity to ours. Those that have been interested in financial resources are either falling away or changing, and those interested in seeing God’s kingdom advanced are drawing very close. He is uniting us with those that are willing to lay their lives down for the gospel and to take the message of God’s presence to the ends of the earth. We are seeing people develop purity in devotion to Jesus alone. The desire to build their own ministry is no longer a priority. This team wants to establish the honor of Jesus through Uganda and surrounding nations. They are willing to travel with us to war torn areas and even put their lives at risk for the King and for His Kingdom.
As we arrived in Seya on Saturday, the presence of God was already there waiting. People were already worshipping God. Linda asked each person to find a prayer place somewhere on the property and soak in God’s presence. They were asked not to do a lot of talking but to listen to Holy Spirit and sing love songs to Jesus. God is adorning His bride. The worship was a sweet smelling fragrance going up before the throne of God.
The assignment was given to go and invite the surrounding villagers to the first village crusade to be held on Saturday evening. That evening there was a lot of spiritual warfare and training that had to occur before there was any kind of breakthrough. We had to work very hard to establish the honor of God. There were some very strong spirits present that did not want to see God glorified. Some opposition was coming from the witch doctor and the drunk, but some was also coming from the traditions of man. We cleared away the chair and had people dance in the middle to break that spirit. We had the children from Faith Children’s Home sing to begin to usher in the glory of God. We try to listen to hear and understand how God wants a particular service to go. Bill called for everyone with back pain to come for prayer. As Linda spoke with each one, they testified that they were completely free from pain. One lady was suffering from numbness in her leg which caused difficulty walking. God healed her and she was jumping. Another one had terrible back pain with her pregnancy. She is a teacher and found it was painful to stand at school. She was in tears as she testified to the goodness of God who had taken away her pain.
Sunday, April 8, we got up at 4 AM and traveled to Busembatia to preach at Pastor Dawson’s church. Bill spoke in 8 AM English service. Linda taught the children’s church. In the second service, during the worship, God presence was strong. The Holy Spirit was hovering over the church looking for a resting place like the dove hovered over the ark. He was looking for a place where He could dwell not just visit. Bill taught on how to respond to God. We prayed for everyone in the church for a breakthrough. The pastor said that his church is looking for what God is speaking and not what man can do for them. The hunger level of this church is on the increase for the presence and face of God.
We love you and place great value on your prayer.
