Pastor's Training and Rescue Update

by Linda Campbell

January 13, 2007

Greetings friends,

“Bible Training Centers” Update

The following is a letter that we received after we returned to America. It is from one of the pastors who attended the training in Seya. “Unless a grain of wheat fall into the ground and die, it cannot bring forth much fruit.” As people lose their desire for anything but Jesus and their lives are completely surrendered to Him, there is such a great multiplication of fruitfulness. All fruitfulness comes from knowing Him. It is such a blessing to our hearts to see that our friends have become carriers of the glory of God. They are not keeping in to themselves within their four walls but are going out into the entire world.

Dear Pastor Bill & Linda,

I am thankful for the ministry that the LORD is doing through His Spirit in my life after the Seya Conference. (The Seya Conference was a gathering of the leadership from all the training centers in Uganda and Kenya. It was held the last week of October. It was a very intense time of waiting on the Lord and surrendering our all to Him.) I knew during the conference that the LORD had touched me. I even felt that change in my Spirit, because there was a fresh anointing on my life.

On November 25, we had our first graduation of Theological Education by Extension whereby 25 students graduated in our city of Bungoma, Kenya. During this ceremony the Spirit of God was so heavy. Speeches were very touching and moving. Both the graduates and the congregation were left in dilemma due to the power of God that was flowing.

On December 6, we had a youth conference. In simple words and illustrations, I ministered on the praise and worship as the LORD ordained from the beginning. We then demonstrated the true praise and worship we learned about. The Spirit of God came and took control of the meeting. Every youth was seeking after a real relationship with God. We were all deeply ministered to by the Spirit of God. And from that very day the Spirit of God took the control, and all the youths were praying without stopping. The LORD was to receive the glory!

On December 8, two pastors from Rhema Teaching and Worship Center and I took our youth to Kisii about 300 kilometers from Bungoma town. I was to minister in one of our newly established churches. The church was started in September of 2005 has now grown to about 200 members. When we reached the church, the people did not recognize us as the ministers but saw us as common people without any difference with them. We did not do anything that evening except pray and believe our LORD to use us. The next morning we started the service with worship. Then in the evening at about 5.00 the Spirit of God took total control of the service. The fear of God came in so that all the attendants were slain and drunk in the Spirit. No one wanted to move. At 8.00 we had a revival service. This time the Spirit was so heavy, that after the service no one could speak. Then on Sunday the 10th, I taught both on the power and the baptism of the Holy Spirit in simple words using the scriptures we all know. The Lord Jesus Christ filled all that had a desire to receive with His Spirit. Then the wave of the Spirit of God came in and no one could stand. All of us were on our knees praying. I saw the fear of the Lord on every person. Each person was giving glory and honor to the King of kings and the Lord of lords, Jesus Christ the Messiah. The pastor of this church could not move. He was totally unable to function because he was so full of the Spirit. He never even closed the meeting. One of the pastors from Bungoma in his own words said, "I have never, ever been in such meeting in my life! This is God doing it.”

When I returned to my church on 14th of December, I sent my youth team to another one of our churches, Kimilili Rhema Teaching and Worship Center. They went out on house to house evangelism and the result was wonderful. The Lord added to His church many souls, and they came out with great testimonies, just as the 72 disciples of the Lord Jesus. To make the things short God is doing a new thing in our ministry. We need your prayers.

Pastor Ishmael Busolo.

These men who were in the Seya Training are becoming ambassadors of heaven. They take the glory of God with them and give it away. In so doing they are filled up with more. God is assigning to them critical missions fully confident that they will fulfill them. Others are taking the glory of God into areas of northern Uganda which is war torn and without hope. They will bring the message of the King, establish hope, healing, and freedom. We continue to be amazed at the “early church” quality of men that God has given us as friends and co-labors in the East Africa.

“Children’s Homes” Updates

Forty-four energized children from Faith Children’s Home eagerly awaited their turns to pile into Pastor Bill’s van and head out to Hope Children’s Home in Seya, Uganda. They have been looking forward to this day for several weeks. All of the staff from Prepare the Way Ministry Bible Training Centers, Faith Children’s Home, and Hope Children’s Home along with their wives and children were gathering to celebrate the birth of their Lord Jesus.

As an outreach to the village, the neighboring children were also included in the fun. The impact of the children’s home is touching the entire village and into the surrounding community. The people are frequently commenting on how “no one has ever done anything like this before!” Hope Children’s Home is the only place taking care of children in the district.

A small group of children were practicing reading and acting out the Christmas story from Luke 2. The play was presented for all of the children and adults in attendance. The children’s home cow and a few neighborhood goats and chickens were quickly collected to become the stable animals. Children dressed as Mary and Joseph made the story of Christmas more real. Some of the children had never heard the Christmas story before. There were shepherds, wise men, and angels.

Several small groups of children sang their songs of worship for the others. Then everyone sang Christmas carols and worshipped Jesus. The pastors shared a Christmas message with those in attendance. It was a very special day to be remembered for a long time to come. The greatest gift of all, Jesus Christ was the focus of the day. The beauty of simplicity and single focus is a treasure which is almost unknown in the western world. I am sure that Jesus received their pure and precious gift of worship with the greatest of joy.

Many of the ladies were in the back preparing a delicious and very festive meal. Nothing was held back in this celebration. There was chicken, matoke, pumpkin, cassava, pineapples, jack fruit, sodas, and fruit. The uncle of two of the children had a large cake made. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JESUS. The food was shared and enjoyed by all.

Pastor Hudson and Mercy Suubi (directors of Faith Children’s Home) and Pastor Josiah and Annette Ndifuna (directors of Hope Children’s Home) are working hand in hand to demonstrate to the world that two separate homes can be joined by love. Mercy has taken some of the older children from each home into Mukono each evening for a week to a youth conference. Some of the Faith Children have been helping out in Seya with the new Hope Home children. They are teaching the girls from Lira the Lugandan and English language. Twenty of the thirty-five are sponsored and have moved into Hope Children's Home. We want to thank you for your prayer for us. All that is happening is due to the sweet incense of prayer going up day and night before the throne of God. We will be leaving to go back to Uganda on March 9th.

Please continue to pray for us.

Blessings,

Pastor Bill and Linda Campbell
