Spend Your Life on Jesus

Dear Friends,
The wonderful time has come again for us to return to Uganda, the land of dance, the pearl of Africa. Our departure date is March 9th. Linda will go for a month and Bill will remain for an additional month. Each day that we are away from Africa, our thoughts are drawn across the miles. We can picture the precious faces of the children smiling at us. We remember the tears we have shared with our precious pastor friends wrestling against everything within ourselves that would attempt to hold us back from giving to the Lord all He deserves. He is worthy of all that we are. Our prayer is:
2 Corinthians 12:15 “I will very gladly spend and be spent for your souls…”
Jesus doesn’t bring anything up from the wells of human nature. He brings life and living water down from above. Our well of incompleteness looks very deep, but when we drink from His well we have more than enough for the challenge that is ahead of us. We stand in amazement before our God and rejoice at His goodness, kindness, and grace. To God be the glory and honor, forever.
EVERY BLESSING YOU POUR OUT, I’LL TURN BACK TO PRAISE
A week ago, Bill received an email from a friend to meet him at church on a Friday evening during a conference. This friend’s father is an inventor with a huge heart for third world countries. He poured large amounts of resources, time, and effort into inventing a machine small enough to fit in a tackle box that would make polluted water safe to drink. This device uses solar energy, table salt, and water. It chemically changes the water into liquid chlorine at a rate of one gallon per hour. This chlorine can be added to water contaminated with Typhoid or other deadly diseases and destroy the bacteria. The machine can decontaminate enough water for 10,000 people for a three year period of time. The Lord spoke to this man and told him that there was someone in Kansas City in need of this product and he gave us and entire unit including solar panels. God has compassion for the children and villagers in Seya, Uganda. He knew they did not have a pure water supply. He also knew the heart of His servant in Iowa who drove to Kansas City to obey His God. There are children who will not die of Typhoid this year because of the obedience of this godly man. I get teary when I think about the Kingdom of God and how beautifully it works when men do not hold on to the treasure that God has given them but release the unto the poor. This man’s deed will not go unnoticed by the Father.
THE LORD IS OUR STRENGTH AND OUR LIFE
God has been giving us the opportunity to minister in churches in Kansas, Iowa, and Minnesota on a regular basis. We have met many wonderful people and had the privilege of speaking into their lives and praying for them. Last Sunday was a wonderful day of ministry in the Minneapolis area. Monday morning, we met with the mission’s pastor of Living Word to finalize some details for the team he will be bringing to Uganda in late March. On the way home, we stopped to have lunch with some of our friends who pastor in Panora, IA. The goodness of God was in our hearts as we went our separate ways. We continued our journey home and within an hour, Linda had excruciating pain in her abdomen and was taken to the emergency room. Once again, we felt the power of prayer. The prayer request was quickly sent to Africa and America, and the intercessors started praying. When Satan comes in, the Lord like a flood raises up a standard against him. When Linda was discharged from the hospital a few hours later, she was pain free. Thank you for standing in the gap and fighting for us.
Luke 10:19 “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”
The Scripture clearly tells us what God plan is for each of us. In Matthew 10, Jesus sent His disciples out and commanded them saying: “And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.” Our greatest desire is to see God’s glory cover the earth and we have chosen to freely give our lives for this purpose.
The pastors in the Bible School are going out door-to-door in the villages and into the hospitals. They are becoming the carriers of the presence of God. The children both at Faith Children’s Home and Hope Children’s Home are being trained to minister. They sing and testify during the church services. They lead worship and help conduct children’s crusades at other churches. They pray for each other in the homes. In order for the more of God’s river to flow into a life, there must also be an outflow so as not to become stagnant. We have only one life to live, so why not give it away to the One we so dearly love.
Blessings,
Pastor Bill and Linda Campbell
