Hi Friends,

TO BE FOUND FAITHFUL

At this time of the year, all of our hearts are focused on the Christmas story. Jesus, who is the very likeness of God because He is one with the Father, came to the earth in the form of a lowly child. He came to demonstrate the kingdom of God in the earth. He came to show humanity what God, who is love and is clothed in light, is like. Salvation is the entrance to this kingdom of God. In this kingdom, those who choose the low seat are exalted and those that choose the high seat are abased. Jesus was a servant. He loved with a pure heart even while others were speaking lies about Him, and breeding murder in their hearts. It is our desire and the desire of Prepare the Way Ministry that we are found faithful in loving what God loves and being humble servants. The prayer of our hearts is to capture the attention of heaven not because of any achievement or accomplishment that we have done but because we have learned to love as Jesus loves. Jesus taught that the greatest commandment is “To love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your mind, and all your strength; and to love your neighbor as yourself”. God has been testing our hearts in this area.

RETURNING TO THE UNITED STATES

With tears in my eyes, I left my Ugandan friends and children last week. I arrived safely back to the US. Bill boarded the plane to depart Uganda today and will arrive home on Thursday. It is becoming more difficult each time we have to leave Uganda. We have so many deep relationships not based on money, corruption, the white man, and his African host. Our relationships are based on a team of servants who love each other all working together for the King and His kingdom.

UPROOTED AND PLACED TOGETHER FOR A HIGHER PLAN

We are very excited to announce the addition of Pastor Joel Mugabi as the on site Director of Faith Children’s Home. Joel has a proven character and loves God with all his heart. He will be a beautiful display of the heart of the Father to the children. Mama Josephine is faithfully cooking for the children and bubbling with love for them. Mama Catherine has been working with us for several months. Two of her children are resident in the home. She is loving and kind. She helps in every area of the home.

Irene Kyolaba, our Ugandan daughter, has been growing in both beauty and godliness. She is now the secretary for Prepare the Way Ministry for Africa. She will be the contact between us and the pastors from all of the training centers. She will keep us updated on what is happening at both Faith and Hope Children’s Homes. She will continue to live at Faith Children’s Home and pour her love and joy into the children.

HOW CAN I BE SAVED?

After a day of “Seeking God’s Face” and being in fellowship with the Lord and many pastors and leaders out at Seya, Bill left and went into the town of Lugazi. He was with our precious friend, Aloysius. They entered a shop to purchase an item. After discussing business and fair prices for a few minutes, the Muslim man asked if Bill was a born again. Bill confirmed that he was. The man became silent and asked, “How can I be saved?” Can God’s presence bring conviction when your mouth has not spoken? Is it possible to carry God’s glory to the point that impacts what is happening around you?

The following testimonies have been received from Pastor John Bosco the leader of our Gulu training centre.

PABBO CHURCH

Many new converts have come to church on Sunday as the result of your ministry in Pabbo. Pabbo is an internally displaced persons camp outside of Gulu. They said they had been convicted by the power of the Holy Spirit during the time of film. There were 5,000 people crowded together to view “The Passion”. Few of these people speak English. Most of them speak Acholi. The speaker system was unable to reach the entire crowd. The person of Christ touched their hearts. Now they want to follow Christ. They are in the church. The Holy Spirit drew men to Jesus with the power of conviction of sin leading to salvation through the visualization of the person of Jesus Christ!

On behalf of the people who attended the teaching you gave us from the book of Acts, we want to carry the presence of God. We want to be like the early church who were in one heart and one mind, were fellowshipping together, and committed to the teaching of the apostles.

TESTIMONY

One woman in the camp testified that she was very sick. She had no money to go to the hospital and she had lost hope for her life. Pastor Bosco and Pastor Bill went to her house and prayed for her. She reports, “I got my healing. I thank God for what He has done for me!

PABBO TRAINING CENTRE

The Bible training centre in Pabbo is going to produce quality leaders. I am ready to serve God with all of my heart and committed to teaching these students. The students want their graduation to take place in Pabbo. They want their relative to see what the Lord is doing in their lives. This celebration will have quite an impact on our training center. I am thankful for what the Lord has put in your heart for the land of Acholi. People here have suffered for many years and most of the church leaders have lost hope in their ministry. Please stand with me to teach these leaders with the Word of God and train them to be carriers of the Holy Spirit and do the work of God rightly.
