Dear Friends,
As we reflect back on 2007 and all that God has done is Uganda, Kenya, Sudan, and India, we are once again brought to the place of total awe of God and His ways. It was in November of 2003 that we went to Uganda to listen for the voice of God and received direction from Him in regards to our future. The plans of God are being demonstrated so quickly, it is almost as if we are watching them take place in rapid succession. The finances are miraculously appearing for each thing that God asks us to do. We are daily learning about the life of faith. The body of Christ has many members, and although we are the ones that go, you are the hand that sends us. We thank you for your faithfulness to give into the lives of the African people. We also thank you for you supplications and requests to the Lord on our behalf. You are making a difference. Children, pastors, and leaders are being equipped to impact Africa for the kingdom of God. We wish to express our deep thankfulness to you our friends.
As we look back at the things that God has done, there is much to rejoice about. Faith and Hope Children’s Homes each house over 40 children, and every child has a loving sponsor. The boundaries of the homes are expanding as additional buildings are being constructed. Crops are abundant and beginning to feed the children at both homes. There will be three separate graduation ceremonies for the Bible school students from the different centers throughout Uganda and Kenya. “SOZO” full salvation took place over and over again through salvations, healings, and deliverances. The Lord birthed a new church in a refuge camp of several thousand people in northern Uganda while we were there.
What brings the greatest joy to our hearts, are the things which are not seen. God is taking the least and making “heaven’s champions” out of them. Men and women of faith have determined to follow Jesus, no matter the cost. They have turned their backs on the things of this world and have their eyes on the kingdom of heaven. A transformation has taken place within their hearts and they have completely abandoned themselves to the King. In one Sunday morning service, I was challenging the congregation to be like Paul and identify with Christ in suffering. A young man who had grown up in Pabbo camp and had known suffering his entire life was weeping. His words still ring in my heart. “I can suffer more for Jesus, I want to be like Him” he cried. Tears ran down my face. This is the firm foundation, the very heart that God desires to dwell in, and one that will survive the storm.
Thank you so much for all you do. Prepare the Way Ministry is making every effort to be good stewards of all that God has entrusted to us. Your prayers, your giving, and your love for the children are not squandered but used to bring an increase of God’s glory in the earth.
Keep praying for us,
Bill and Linda Campbell
