Open Air Crusade in Mukono Town

by Pastor Barnabas Mwesigwa

November 26, 2007

Prepare the Way Ministry in conjunction with Present Glory Worship Centre Mukono organized an open air crusade in Mukono town from Nov 19-25, 2007.

Pastor Bill was in Gulu and we started the crusade on Monday with the leadership of our church. In the beginning, we didn’t think that the crusade would be very powerful. The attendance was a bit small. God amazed us on the second day of the crusade. The turn out increased. About five hundred people gathered to listen to the Word of God. Some of them gave their lives to Jesus. Many suffering from diverse kinds of sickness were healed and delivered from the powers of darkness. On Sunday, we had a good number of new converts who attended our church service.

We also organized a three day seminar to begin a discipleship journey in the lives of the new converts. The church members attended, as well. We saw a hunger for the Word of God. We prayed for the sick and God delivered them.

Pastor Bill returned from Gulu and was able to minister on the last day of the crusade. After the preaching, all of the pastors began to pray for the people on the crusade grounds. Many gave their lives to Jesus and others were healed from sickness.

That evening, we showed “The Passion”. It touched many lives, men and women cried tears. Taxi drivers, shop attendants, Moslems, and all kinds of people were so much touched. They began to come, one by one, to get saved.

Our church is a young church, which has been in existence for two years. We were sensing some kind of sluggishness and deterioration in the spiritual realm but then Linda came and taught about the Holy Spirit for two Sundays. There is a beginning of revival being kindled in the lives of the church members. There is a desire in their hearts to fellowship, study the Word, and a new commitment to doing God’s work.

Thank you,
