Bringing Life Back To The Dead

by Bill and Linda Campbell

March 18, 2008

Greetings friends,

Everything that can be shaken is being shaken in order that the true realities of the Kingdom of God may be manifest. (Neville Johnson)

Hebrews 12:26-27 Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven. And this word, yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things which cannot be shaken may remain.

God is doing this shaking to separate unto Himself those that count everything as loss except His presence which is gain. Count it all joy, if you see yourself in a time of shaking. God is preparing all of us for the new thing He is about to do. He is looking for pure vessels to carry His glory.

Matthew 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

Several years ago, God told me that Bill and I would have the privilege of walking with champions of heaven. There are men and women on the earth that the world would consider small, but who have captured the attention of heaven. Over the past few years, we have focused on these people and have turned from the large “opportunities” or those with wrong motives. Our reward for this has already been so great. We have met men and women with strength and character who love God with all of their hearts. Training them to become carriers of God’s presence coupled with their willingness to give their life for the Lord has produced “an early church disciple” quality that we have rarely seen. We weep when we see the purity, passion, and love burning in the hearts of our friends.

God has connected us with men and women whose hearts are learning to beat to the very rhythm of God’s heart. Pastor Josiah is one such person. He has become a carrier of the presence and glory of God. He had prayed for seventeen years after God gave him the vision of reaching Uganda for the glory of God. He considered himself a simple village pastor and was unable to see how God would do this great thing.

We have spent years with our leadership teams and pastors from the surrounding areas crying out to God in repentance, passionately seeking His face, and desiring a closer, more intimate walk with Him. They have shaken, cleaned up, and purified through this time. A few have chosen not to follow Christ at this level of commitment; but those who have believe “I will not offer to the Lord, that which cost me nothing”.

Several years ago, God united Pastor Bill and Pastor Josiah in a deep and growing friendship. One day after preaching, they sat together under a tree with a map of Uganda in their hands. Tears ran down their faces as they prayerfully discussed planting centers throughout the nation. Today Prepare the Way School of Ministry has centers in very strategic locations in Uganda in the cities of Koboko, Gulu, and Seya; as well as Kenya and Sudan.

Gulu is a land of tribal war and refugee camps. The Acholi are a deeply wounded people with dry and barren hearts. God gave Bill a vision of reaching the pastors and leaders during this small season of time while they remain in the camps. As the camps dissolve, the pastors and leaders will take the presence of God into their various villages many of which can only be reached on foot. Today, the camps are slowing breaking down into sub-camps and the people will eventually return to their villages and this opportunity will be gone. Last year, God opened wide the doors to Pabbo, the largest camp to Pastor Bill and the Prepare the Way team. This is where he had over 5,000 in attendance for the “Passion of Christ”.

The following letter was written by Pastor Josiah Ndifuna. It demonstrates how God will honor a man who has abandoned his life to Him and give him the very desires of his heart. He will turn what seemed impossible into a reality.

The churches in Northern Uganda came together in a convention from 31st Jan to 2nd Feb 2008.

There were over 250 people in attendance.

The theme of the convention was “Rebuilding the Broken Wall of Acholi Land and Northern Uganda”.  I went on behalf of Prepare the Way Ministry and was the main speaker. God gave me a message to share with them out of the book of Nehemiah. Nehemiah himself was the example we took as the rebuilder of the wall.

Briefly when Nehemiah learned that the walls of Jerusalem were broken, he was touched, and he sat down to weep. Nehemiah fasted many days. He repented for the sins of his family. He did not cast blame on any one, not even the Babylonians.

We had a good time of repentance and praying before the Lord concerning what has taken place in Northern Uganda for so many years.  Church leaders were touched. We decided to have what we called Northern Pastors and Leader’s Prayer Retreat for three days in March from 23rd – 25th ending with a dinner.  We are expecting 100 key leaders to attend this event.

Pastor John Bosco, who is the head of Prepare the Way School of Ministry in Gulu, reports that what happened in the conference had never occurred before in Gulu. God is doing a new thing. He is bringing LIFE BACK TO THE DEAD! We experienced the life of God breathing upon half dead people in each church we spoke in this area. God is the Restorer of the broken. He is the Healer of heart and body. LIVE, I SAY LIVE!

Please continue to pray for Pastor Bill. He is in Vadodara, India. He is speaking two to three times a day. Bill preaches into cultures which opens hearts to the understanding of the Gospel. He asks for prayer for revelation into this Hindu culture. He is asking God for a greater breakthrough. He is posting blogs on a daily or near daily basis as he is able on the home page of Prepare the Way Ministry. http://preparethewayministry.com/

Please pray for Pastor Josiah as he ministers to church leaders in Gulu March 23-25.

Thank you for praying for Pastor Bill, Linda, Brian, Amy, and the Prepare the Way Ministry teams.
