Anitah Mushime was born in 1997 in the nation of Rwanda. The family had lived through very difficult times. The father died after being poisoned. The mother, Madren Nyiraneza and her children moved to Uganda in hopes that the younger brother of her late husband would help her by caring for the children. He agreed and took the family in, but after three years he wanted to make Anitah's mother his wife which would be his fourth wife. Anitah’s uncle is a Muslim and her mother is a Christian, so Madren refused to marry her brother-in-law. He was angry and forced Madren to take her children and leave his home. She was out on the streets to look for another life. This was when she heard that Prepare the Way Ministry helps the orphans. She immediately contacted the pastor. She apparently chose to Anitah as the one to join Hope Children’s Home because she was the oldest of the children and needed to be in school. She made the decision to keep her younger children with her, and she is no longer in the area. Anitah is a very grateful girl. She overflows with the new joy that Jesus has placed within her heart. She attends school along with her friends at Sseya Community School and goes to church at Sseya Revival Church. She loves to laugh, share her love with others through acts of kindness, and enjoy her friends.
