Drawn by the Power of God-Hindu Woman Saved
 

Prepare the Way started a Faith Bible College extension in Lugazi last year. The class had been renting a classroom on Wednesday and Friday evenings in a school of nursing building. Pastor Bill would usher the students into the very presence of God by worshiping the King in the beauty of His holiness. He then taught the first class, we walked home, and the second class began. As it turned out, the electric bill was in default; and the power had been turned off. The students had several sessions by candlelight and it was not working very well for them.
 

God had spoken to Bill to knock out the wall in our apartment between our small living room and the bedroom of the next apartment which we were also renting. We soon learned that if everything in the room was removed, it was possible to fit 24 plastic chairs and one teacher!
One evening, Pastor Bill was teaching the students on receiving and releasing the “Power of God” and how to enter in to find God’s presence during worship. The group was pressing in with everything within them to experience God and flow with His Spirit in the realm of the prophetic. God was impacting the hearts of the students very deeply as they hungered for His presence above all else. Exodus 33:15 “If your presence does not go with us, do not lead us from here.”
 

After the class was over, we had our dinner about 9:30 PM, our dear friend and neighbor, Mrs. Tipu who is an Indian came over to speak to me. She said that when we were singing during class, she felt the power of God going through the two walls that separated our apartments and into her home. She tried to pray to her Hindu gods; but instead of words coming out of her mouth, tears began to stream out of her eyes and roll down her face. She had been sensing the Lord Jesus standing by her throughout the day. Although when she looked she did not see anyone; she knew it was Jesus because of His sweet presence. Simeron, her young daughter of 12, had seen Jesus physically appear to her several times over the past two weeks. Mrs. Tipu wanted to know “this Jesus” that is so real to Bill and I. With tears running down her face, she prayed with me to receive Jesus as her Lord and Savior.

 I challenged Mrs. Tipu that Jesus had to be the Lord of her life, and He was the replacement for all of her other gods. Please pray for the Holy Spirit to become so real to her, and to quicken her with the understanding of the Bible verse which says, “You shall have no other gods before Me!” I know she has not grasped all that I shared with her because of her culture and the language barrier, but we plan to start a Bible study with some of her friends. I am very excited about introducing Jesus to more Indians who are seekers of what is true!
 

God put the Tipu family in our lives a year and a half ago. Bill has been reading Bible stories to the two daughters. The wife has come to request prayer when her daughter needed healing. She saw the miraculous power of God touch heal her daughter from Malaria. Please pray for this dear family, that the precious seed be protected from the evil one.

Bill and I stand in amazement as we witness the power of the “Love of God” transform the hardest of hearts and his precious children bow their knee to the “Jesus, the One and Only”, the Savior of the world.

May the fruit of your giving and your prayer be multiplied to produce a massive harvest to present to Jesus on that glorious day! We thank you for sending us to go to Uganda and allowing us to represent you in the nation.
