We left Lugazi, Uganda with a small team which included our 17 year old Ugandan son, Ivan. He was so excited to be going on his first international mission’s trip. As we neared Malaba, we were all explaining the border crossing process. First we had to purchase international insurance followed by taking the copy to the police station. Next we had to get our exit visa from Uganda, at which time our trouble began. We were told that we could not take a Ugandan child out of the country with proper identification. Ivan was taken behind the glass and questioned. Next we were sent to be cross-examined. The Holy Spirit took control and filled our mouths with inspired speech. Soon the examiners were asking if we could sponsor their children, and were telling the other agents all about us. Next we had to get our entrance visa into Kenya. The men were very unyielding and refused Ivan to enter Kenya and even suggested that he go back through Uganda alone on a bus. They have a high incidence of child trafficking. My heart cried out to God, and the team began to war in the spirit for Ivan. Once again the Holy Spirit gave the right words needed to touch the heart of the agents. We testified to them and left them with a Bible. God is faithful to confirm the words of His servants.
