Enthusiastic interpreters greeted the Living Word team as we set out to go door to door to share the love of Jesus with the villagers in Sseya. We were supplied with gift bags consisting of sugar, salt, matchboxes, soap, and biscuits to give to each home that we ministered in. I was blessed to have Florence, one of our young ladies from Hope Children’s Home and the youth pastor, Joseph on my team. We approached the home of an elderly lady. This lady had a neighboring visitor with her. We began to share about Jesus. The woman and her visitor accepted Jesus as Lord. While we were praying, the woman’s husband came home. He also received Jesus as Savior. He was limping, and we were able to minister to him in prayer. The two women were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in a heavenly language. They began to laugh as joy bubbled up within them. We left each of them with a gift bag and continued on to the next house. Each team member had many wonderful stories to tell about the people they had helped to meet Jesus at the foot of the cross.
