Rebecca Wegasasa was born in 1998. She comes from an impoverished family in Lugazi, Uganda. Her father who is a watchman at Mehta Sugar Cane Factory decided to leave his aging wife and eight children to remarry a much younger woman. Rebecca’s mother in her poor health was left to care for the children alone. The three youngest children were not attending school or eating properly. After they offered Rebecca free schooling, Pastor Frances and Prosper Ngoboka saw how she was being affected physically, mentally, and emotionally by her home life. They agreed to take Rebecca into their own family and raise her as one of their own children. She is now receiving love, Christian education, and proper nutrition.
