BlogsA New GarmentMarch 23, 2008 -
Read all blogs This morning, which is Easter, I preached three times and again in the evening. When I first came I was told the people want to keep time. They will not come to service if they must wait. Their hunger for more of God held them for over an hour waiting for me to come to the Easter morning service. I was not scedualed to preach in this resurection service. They heard that God was visiting them again. Every service is an opportunity for Holy Spirit to challenge the congregations to respond to God for change in their lives. We are seeing an increase in people responding to God’s call to really know Him. This week I will have preached 21 times, prayed for many people. I have shared meals, snacks, and coffee in over fifteen different homes. In every nation I go to, I become close friends to those that are called by His name and desire Him above all others. Following each services, I am looking for those who need ministry while at the same time, many are seeking me out for pray and counseling. The pastors desire a change. They want God to move in their lives and churches, but there is little room in the system they work in for change. For many years they have had to settle for patches on their spiritual garments. Now they are unsatisfied with the old garment of religion and want God to give them a new garments rather than putting another patch on the old. Leave a comment
