Life Without Limits

August 7, 2008 - Read all blogs

Today I had the honor of sharing at a support group for the handicapped children of Lugazi. A beautiful lady with the name of Mama Faith has been interceding for these children. She has also been trying to work with the government to receive funding for them to help them. An American organization came along side her to bring this support group into existence.

I spoke to the group of at least 100 parents, handicapped children, and support people including the pastors, leaders, and councilman of Lugazi. Each child was known by the Lord while they were in their mother’s womb. These children are beautiful. I showed the movie called “No Limbs! No Limits!” This is the story of Nick, a man born with no arms and no legs. He does have a small foot on one side. He lives of life of great value and victory because of Jesus in his life. He said, “If you seek temporary things, your happiness will also be temporary.” He has found life’s greatest purpose and has not allowed life to hold him back due to his limitations.

After the meeting, mothers began to bring their children to me for prayer. One little girl had been born deaf and dumb. The Lord loosed her tongue and opened up her ears. She had a surprised expression on her face as she began to hear. She began to create vocal expressions and sounds. Each child that enters the world has to learn to put sounds together to form words. I told the mother to speak to her often so she could begin to learn to do this.

Another little girl was blind in her right eye. I asked God to recreate her eye. In a short time, she looked at my yellow shirt and said that she saw blue. That was wonderful but the healing was not complete. After more prayer, she was able to see the color of objects but letters were still unclear. I prayed for clarity of vision. She was then able to see the letters but unable to read them as she has never attended school.

Unfortunately, I did not see any limbs grow out, but I will not stop praying for these creative miracles to occur. Bill and I will be speaking in this church again on Sunday, and will pray again for each of them.

There was a young man in his late teens or early twenties. He had malaria when he was seven years old. After this illness, he was both deaf and dumb. Using God’s authority, I commanded the deaf and dumb spirit to leave him. The young man put his hand to his ear and SPOKE “Mommy, there is a pain in my ear.” His mother looked at him in disbelief. I said, “No, No. That’s good. Let’s keep praying.” Soon he was turning his head to the different sounds that he heard. In perfect Luganda, he said, “Mommy, I want to drink!”  He was speaking to her as if he was still seven years old. I believe now that he is both hearing and speaking, he will move to adulthood.

Bill and I live to see the glory of the King known throughout this dark land.
