Linda's home!

I am home at last. Although I have a strong call to Uganda, in all honesty I am glad to be back in the United States. Never take for granted how wonderful it is to live in a nation that has been founded on Christianity. This was a very painful trip for me. I am so deeply in love with Jesus, and I will follow Him anywhere. When I said “Yes” to Him, I knew I would never change my mind.

There is no treasure on this earth greater than knowing Jesus. My heart is set on knowing Him deeper than I have ever known Him before. Although I live on the earth and only see in part, my desire is to know Him closer still.

Bill is Still in Uganda

Bill is still in Uganda. He will leave to come back to America on October 21st. Next week, thirty-one graduates from Pabbo will be receiving their one year certificate for completing twelve Bible College courses through Faith Bible College. Bill will also be working on several administrative projects that have to be done while in Uganda.

Please Pray for Us

We really need your prayer. God has been doing wonderful things and people are receiving deeper revelation about the Kingdom of God. Our prayer is that when the birds of the air come, the seed will not be stolen but will remain and bear fruit. It is our prayer that the message of revival penetrates deep into the hearts of the Ugandan people and their lives take on a deeper passion for Jesus. The African culture has entrenched strongholds including pride and a lack of forgiveness which has an effect on almost everyone. Without the grace of God, offenses are not easily forgotten. It is not God’s will for a person’s culture to have a stronger influence that the cross of Christ on their life. We are praying that each one whom God has entrusted to us will take on the mind of Christ and willingly serve each other in love. We are asking God to let us become lower still and model the heart of servant hood. Jesus led by serving, and we want to be like our Master.

Linking Arms

linking with UgandaThe first few years we first started coming to Uganda, we were in the honeymoon phase. We would pray for hundreds of people, see healings, miracles, and deliverances. In the typical Western mindset, we felt that we had made a difference in Uganda from our two week visit. Now years later having gained experience and wisdom, we have learned so much. We still get excited about the miracles but recognize that what really matters is a life that has been transformed. Are the people able to carry God’s presence? Is there fruit that has remained? We have found that it takes getting down get down and dirty, right into the lives of the people to really see a transformation. It usually takes weeks of building a solid foundation, for the people to have something to hold on to. Instead of counting numbers, we now look for character and Christ starting to form. We are now in the marriage phase where we are linking arms with brothers and sisters in Uganda to see the glory of God cover this nation. We are willing to lay down our culture, to become Ugandan in order to see Uganda changed by the presence of God.

Strategies from Heaven

A good friend of ours prays for us regularly, he emailed us telling us about a vision he had about us. “In prayer, I saw the two of you in a room. The Lord had His angels bring in two large brown chests. I thought to myself, ‘What do they need with these chests?’ The chests were opened by the angels, and I saw great treasures. I said to myself, ‘Okay, provisions for their trip.’ Then the angels handed a white piece of paper with black writing on it to Bill and the same to Linda. I was a little disappointed to see just papers! Then the scripture came to me from Colossians 2:2, 3…’the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ. In whom are hidden all the treasures of the wisdom and knowledge.’ I knew that you were receiving the solutions to the issues in Uganda. I didn’t know if Bill got a part and Linda got a part, or if you each received a solution to an individual problem, but I knew that you each received vital information that will, when combined, produce the solution from heaven.

This trip has been amazing because it was as if God lifted the veil and let us see the spirits that were in operation causing different disturbances. Recognizing the spirits, gave us strategies on how to pray for these issues and people. We saw so many deliverances instantly. We were given solutions to problems, but we still had to work out the circumstances. Other times, we saw nothing at all because the person didn’t want to change. God will never force someone to change when they love darkness rather than light.

Many Hands from Heaven

Kate, an intercessor from Living Word Christian Center, Pastor Kent, and I were all praying on the grounds of the church in progress in Sseya, Uganda. I was lying on the grass. Kate came up to me and put her hand on my stomach and began interceding. When she was finished, she told me that the Lord gave her a vision while praying. She saw many hands come from heaven and impart into me. It was a time of great refreshing for me.

Impartation of Strength

My father prays often for us. A few weeks ago, he had this dream about me. He was in a room with many other people. I was in the center of the room. Everyone was praying for me. They were imparting strength and courage. The presence of God was strong, and I was receiving spiritual gifts.

Running from Love

Do you remember reading about the two young boys, age 12 and 14 who were deserted and living on their own in Sseya? The father agreed to let us care for the boys and send them to school. When they learned of our plans for them, they fled and have not been seen for several weeks. They have learned to love having no boundaries and do not want them now. If we see them, we will continue to love them but at this time our plans to sponsor them have been cancelled. Please pray for their hearts to become tender.

Thank you for praying for us.

Your hands and feet to Uganda,

Pastor Bill and Linda Campbell
