Let The King Receive The Glory

Dear friends,

(I found this email that had not been sent out as planned before we left for Uganda. Although some of it is outdated, I wanted to share the testimonies.

Bill and I are once again preparing to return to our beloved Uganda. We will be departing on Tuesday, February 3 from Kansas City and arriving in Entebbe on February 4 late in the evening. Linda will return on March 4 and Bill on May 2.

We have spent the past few months ministering in different churches in Kansas, Missouri, Minnesota, and Iowa. Each one is becoming near and dear to us. We are so thankful for the body of Christ and the tremendous love shown to us. One precious church in Iowa held a banquet in our honor to raise money to purchase their second motorcycle for us. The first one has already been presented to a pastor from Pabo who spends his days traveling to villages and sub-camps encouraging the churches that have been planted. The second one will be for Bill to drive. As the refugee camps are dispersed back to their villages, these motorcycles are the only means of traveling deep into the bush to continue the ministry to the pastors and villagers. Praise God for this Iowa pastor’s burden to reach the people of Uganda. He is also passing this deep love on to the members of his church.

After the banquet, God moved mightily in the service. Many were released from deep roots of bitterness and unforgiveness. One lady was able to forgive her father for the first time in her life. Although her father had died many years ago, he still had held her heart captive. God set her free and she testified to feeling the heaviness leave. Another woman was on the ground after being prayed for. While she was lying there, she felt waves of weight pressing in on her. She understood that this weight was the cares of the world. After resting in God’s presence, she got up full of the life of God. A precious, precious friend said God had set her free from an eating disorder when we prayed for her several months ago. She had been tormented for years. Her body and mind has been free and fully functioning.

A beautiful young woman was informed by the Iowa University Hospital that the child she was carrying had severe birth defects. He has choroids plexus cysts in his brain. He also had a cleft lip and possibly cleft palate. He also had “genetic abnormalities” of his kidneys. She was in the Sunday morning service. At the beginning of the service, the Lord spoke to me that He was going to heal someone who was very desperate. My right hand starting feeling like electrical currents were running through it. This lady was downstairs but someone went to get her. I prayed for her unborn baby. I prophesied that she would give birth to a healthy baby with a Joshua anointing. We received the following report from her:

"As I prepare for another check-up (27 weeks pregnant now), I have been thinking about how we were at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics (UIHC) just a month ago now.  Our first visit there was very stressful as they were concerned about "genetic abnormalities" in our baby boy.  At that visit they found his kidneys, previously a concern, to be totally fine.  The following visit, they wanted to check on the choroids plexus cysts in the brain and the cleft lip (and possibly cleft palate).  We were ecstatic to have had a great report of a healthy little boy with no more cysts.  As far as they saw, the cleft lip does not extend all the way to the nose and there is little to no concern about his palate."

We have been enjoying soaking in God’s presence and receiving prayer whenever we have an opportunity. In a recent service at our home church, World Revival, Pastor Kathy released on me what seemed like a lion’s roar, and it was as if I were hit by a cannonball. I flew backwards, and when I hit the floor I was completely overwhelmed by the Holy Spirit of God. I was shaking uncontrollably in His presence. I have enjoyed living in the presence of God, but there are times when He totally takes me over and I become undone. He makes me more like Him by removing mindsets that hinder greater depth with Him. He washes away the dust. I know as I lay there on the floor, that He was imparting more of His nature, more of the mind of Christ into me. I felt a strength rising up within me, preparing me for the battle ahead. I was completely consumed with His presence that I was almost unaware of what was happening around me. Someone came to get me to tell me that my pastor wanted me to share with the people what was happening. My natural mind was completely blank. My speech was missing. My spirit was soaring and so alive in God, but all I wanted to do was to fall on my face and cry “Holy, holy, holy”. I prayed, "Jesus, help me!" I was able to share something with the people but it seemed so inadequate. The stirrings of God within me were so strong that I knew I was being changed all over again. I will spend my life pressing in for the glory to be revealed in me. "Christ in me, the hope of glory."  Let the King receive glory, honor, and praise through His little girl.

Please pray for us. God has amazing things planned for our time in Uganda. We will wait to share them with you after they have already happened, that way we can give greater honor to the Lord for all He has done. The following are two prayer directives. For this trip God has said that we are going into the enemy’s camp. He has been revealing some of the strategies and plans that He has for us. He has also said to pray for the justice of God to be done. God has been talking to me about going into the enemy’s camp. It is time to take back what He has stolen.

Psalm 45:6 Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever; a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom.

Proverbs 29: 26 Many seek an audience with a ruler, but it is from the Lord that man gets justice.

Isaiah 28:17 I will make justice the measuring line and righteousness the plumb line…

As you walk in obedience before the Lord through prayer and intercession, He releases angelic warriors to accomplish the miraculous. The amazing part is that He allows you and me to partner with heaven and He has chosen to work through us. Thank you for your sacrifice and your obedience to the Lord. Thank you for your prayers.
