BlogsWhat A Mighty God We ServeMarch 29, 2009 -
Read all blogs Dear Friends, My heart is full of love and gratitude to the King of glory whom we serve. He has poured His love out upon us the entire time we walked the streets of Uganda. He is deepening godly relationships in our lives both in Uganda and stateside. Sing this song in your heart and think about His majesty. What a mighty God we serve, Ephesians 1:4 He chose us in Him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in His sight. This verse has been like a theme song to us on this trip. This has always been our assignment from heaven, but God put such an emphasis on being blameless before Him. He put such a deep guard over our mouths. It became both fun and challenging to bless each time we were cursed. Although we were not always perfect, Kingdom principles were released on our behalf and behalf of the children. This has perhaps been the most difficult trip; yet in some ways, it has also been the most glorious. We have seen a deep burden lifted off our chests. We have had a team of intercessors praying night and day, God has heard the prayer and answered the cry of our hearts. We were wonderfully reunited with the first eleven of our children who will become part of the Love Home program living in “Joseph’s House”. We had the opportunity to get to know their family members. Our eyes were opened to see the depth of their love as they once again chose to give them an opportunity that they could never offer. The Prepare the Way Ministry team of East Africa is like pure gold to us. They have all been tried in the fire. God has burned off the dross, but oh how beautiful they look now! Once again, we can honestly say that we have been give “Champions of Heaven” to associate with. God is giving them honor because of their integrity. I do apologize for the lack of emails on my part. Bill is in Uganda until May 1. I have been back in the states for almost two weeks. I am in my first few weeks of a new job at Visiting Nurse Association and love it. A great highlight of this trip was the visit of Josh and Melanie Dilly from Waverly, IA. They were amazing. They blessed everyone they were around. They had chosen to paint and furnish the living room at Hope Children’s Home, and when we saw them they were both up to their elbows in blue paint. The house parents and the children are so proud if their “home”. They truly are ONE, BIG, HAPPY family. We have several children in need of your love and sponsorship. Please know that when you sponsor through PTWM, it is more than a monthly donation. These kids become part of your life and you become part of theirs. Please see their beautiful faces and learn more on how you can sponsor one of these precious children.
The people responded wonderfully to God. I also spoke at two Sunday services on deliverance and also on innocence. God is doing a deep work in these beautiful people. Some churches respond casually while others want God to change their hearts. We are looking for the ones who want to pursue Jesus with their ALL. You may remember that about three years God gave Bill a vision of going into the largest refugee camp in Uganda, imparting passion for Jesus, and seeing them return to their home villages to bring the message to thousands that we could never reach one by one. Well, the vision has unfolded. The camp has dwindled from 140,000 to about 12,000. Prepare the Way School of Ministry had a Bible College graduation last fall. God moved on the heart of a wonderful pastor in Iowa to hold a banquet with all proceeds going toward a motorcycle for Bill. This same church bought one for the pastor of this area last year. Very soon, Bill will travel to Pabo and spend weeks with Pastor Bosco riding to the villages that not even a Land Rover (which we don’t have) could reach. They will find the pastors that have returned to their villages after living in a refugee camp for 20 years. These pastors will all be planting new churches. Any old buildings were probably destroyed. What would that be like? Please pray for miracles, salvations, healings, and for hard hearts to turn to the living God. Ask God for provision for these dedicated pastors. God restore the years that the locust has eaten! Lord, bring Hope to the hopeless! We sincerely appreciate you, and we thank you from the depth of our hearts for your love, support, and prayer on behalf of your ambassadors to East Africa.
