A Letter from Kenya

Dear Friends,

Prepare the Way Ministry has four main Bible College Centers. These are extensions of an accredited school, Faith Bible College in Independence, MO. Each center has their own dean who is also responsible for starting sub-centers. The following letter is from the dean of Prepare the Way School of Ministry in Bungoma, Kenya that he wanted shared.

I am grateful and appreciate the ministry of Pastor Bill and Linda in East Africa specifically in Kenya. I have overwhelming gratitude and thanks for their humble spirit of caring and concern to advance the kingdom of God in Africa. We are receiving practical training from their lives.

Another wonderful way that the Lord God is using them is in the teaching ministry. Through this ministry, we were connected to Faith Bible College whereby our students have learned 35 courses. On October 17, 2009, thirty-five students graduated. Twenty-nine graduates were awarded with a Pastoral Theology degree and six graduates were awarded a diploma in Biblical Studies.

I, Ishmael Busolo Watuko, dean of Prepare the Way School of Ministry in Bungoma, Kenya and all the students are thankful because we have been molded, challenged, and reformed by these courses. The graduates have been prepared for ministry; therefore we have many testimonies of what the Lord has already done in the lives of these students. As the instructor and a teacher of these courses, I have been evaluating the lives of the students; and I have a lot to testify of what the Lord is doing in the ministries of these graduates.

Now I’d like to take this chance to give two kinds of testimonies; that is the testimonies during the time we were in class and the testimonies after graduation.

The courses like Bible Doctrine 1 & 2, Christ our Healer 1 & 2, Obedience and Faith 1 & 2, etc had a great impact on the lives of the students. They became strong in the Word of God and every student was to receive the promises of God in their live.  Some of the students (two married women) who were barren for over seven years are now expecting babies within a few months. Others had no jobs, but the Lord has provided for them.

I remember one day, when I was teaching a class, I received a call from a student of the Bungoma class. He was very sick, and in a vision he saw his death and his grave. He said, “My teacher, I have already seen my death and my burial service”! Then I told him to stop confessing negatives, because the “confession is possession”. And right there I commanded him to repeat after me by saying, “I see life and victory over death”. He immediately spoke the words I told him to speak. As a class, we joined in prayer and the Lord Jesus healed him during that prayer.  He graduated with the rest of the class, and now pastors a church. And he’s so powerful when he teaches the Word of God.

Another time when I was in town doing my own business, I received a call from one of the student who is also my church co-worker. She said, “My only daughter is dying, come pastor!” I said, “No! She will not die, but she will live!”  Then we prayed for her and took her in the hospital where she was at coma for five days. She lost her mind, and could not speak for one and half months. She was healed gradually, but now she can speak and does all her duties well. I have so many testimonies!

While I was preparing to teach an evening class at the Bungoma Center, I received a call from my daughter Miriam who said, “Come quickly, my grandfather is dying”. I told her that he is not dying! I prayed and believed the Lord for healing. I had to continue to teach the class. At night, I went home and I found my father was very weak, however I told him to believe. I prayed for him, and he was totally healed.

I have been traveling from one church to another where these students are bishops, pastors, teachers, elders and church members. The truth is that all of them are now the teachers of the Word, and they are a big help to their churches and communities. One bishop told me that “these students have done great in his ministry and he does very little”. And for sure I, myself I have sat down to listen to them. I have found that we have teachers who will reach this generation with the true gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. I, being eye witness of what the Lord is doing in these students. I am proud of you pastor Bill and Linda and the Faith Bible College leadership. They have freely given us these live changing courses. It is my prayer that more doors will be opened so that we can reach our people in our communities to understand the word of God in a simple way.

Ishmael Busolo

Please continue to pray for the ministry of the schools. Pray that God will use these faithful men and women to turn the world “upside down”.

Blessings,

Pastor Bill and Linda Campbell
