Both of Esther’s parents died of HIV/AIDS when Esther was 4 years old. The family had been living in Kampala. Esther and her brother were taken to the village of Namutumba to live with their elderly grandfather. He was unable to care for them properly due to his health and financial limitations. Esther is living with Pastor Dawson and her brother lives with a church member. Esther is from the Musoga tribe. She is in nursery school. She has not yet been tested for HIV.
Pastor Dawson and his wife are pastoring a church and living in the town of Busembatia. Their vision is to finish and open up a children’s home which now is about 80% completed.
